Kinect & XBOX 360 games

Kinect

The new Kinect motion-sensing gaming system is no doubt a lot of fun.  Maybe not for hard core gamers, but definitely brings in more family entertainment to a console that is predominantly used for guys who want to spend their nights punching and shooting each other.  With the Kinect, the XBOX 360 can now be enjoyed by all.
It’s easy to set up, with good motion-tracking technology.  Granted there are some glitches, and it doesn’t always perform to high standards when you throw a few more complicated manoeuvres its way, but in saying that, regardless of the odd lag or failed tracking during mid-play, it’s still a good laugh and great exercise.
It is pricey though, and with the space that you need to accommodate even 2 players it would be very difficult and limited to get a whole family in on the fun, even though it is capable of tracking 6 people, you would need to rent a warehouse for family gaming day.  So it depends really on space and affordability to determine whether it would be worth it in the end.

XBOX 360 games

There are currently a number of great games out there to satisfy XBOX players’ taste buds.  Most of the top games are action adventure, roll-playing or first person shooter games, although it might seem like only the young men are being catered for, I challenge anyone to pick up the controller and give these games a Go.  My friends 5 year old can give he’s dad a run for he’s money on Call of duty and I know quite a few woman who can hold their own against their husband’s skilled playing.
For those of you, who are interested in these types of games, check out: Call of Duty: Black ops, Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, Halo: Reach, Assassin’s creed 2 or Brotherhood, Dead Space 2, and Vanquish.  They have all scored high with gamers alike.
Those of you who are into something a little different, XBOX have anything from Fifa Soccer 11 or NHL 11, to Rock band, and Need for Speed: Hot pursuit.
So there’s something for everyone to enjoy, whatever your preference.  Most come at a price though so start saving, or put in your birthday requests now.
